Progress towards a new skate park
Beckett Park is an absolute gem. The local volunteers who help make it so with their time and imagination are fantastic. We very much support the project and have secured substantial funding to make it possible. It'll go nicely with the refurbished tennis courts! Well used by dog walkers, there are fascinating ancient remains there, and generally a lovely place to get out and enjoy nature. We've been doing some surveying with archaeologists and we're working with locals to organise litter picks and other ways to celebrate this hidden treasure. Interested? To start with, we've set up a new Facebook group - join it here .

As one resident said, "On top of learning about two thousand years of history beneath our feet we enjoyed just being in the lovely woods with good company." A few of us would like to explore
