On Sunday 26th and Monday 27th July, we’ll be holding the monthly food bank collection across Weetwood. Summer is always a busy time fo food banks, when children are on holiday. If you can donate, the food bank particularly needs donations of tinned fruit, jars of honey, jam and coffee, tinned vegetarian meals, all non perishable food and toiletries. We have encountered an issue with a live gas main in this location; this was charted as disconnected. Sunday saw the first event at the newly resurfaced skate park in Becketts Park. As Weetwood ward councillors, we have helped to fund the resurfacing - and its open in time for the summer holidays. On Sunday we saw the first event - a meet up of skateboarders, roller skaters and Road Block sound system providing the music!
