New: Electric vehicle charging if you don't have a drive
If you have an electric car but live in one of the many terrace properties without a drive then you may be paying quite a bit more to charge your car. We've been lobbying for a simple solution here, and now the council is piloting one: "On 5 December 2025 we launched a 12-month pilot allowing the installation of a cross-footway cable channel that is recessed into the footway. Kerbo Charge is our approved partner for this pilot. You can now apply for a cross-footway EV chargin

A660 works update
As you know, we share regular updates from Eric Wright about the work they're doing on Lawnswood. We think people like just knowing what's going on. They've been so well received we've pushed the council for the same for the wider A660 works (from Headingley down to St Marks Road). They've committed to doing this and they're really useful too. Here's the latest, including dates. We'll share these regularly. "Below is your regular update regarding Phase 2 construction works on

It's not in our ward but we're sure most of you find yourself on Briggate quite regularly! Otley Run update - including work with the New Inn
We had a useful chat with staff at the New Inn in November, followed by a rainy street surgery on Saturday in that area with some of our super friendly local resident volunteers! Following that we felt it'd be useful to share a short Otley Run update. We have successfully had the council's 'Cumulative Impact Assessment' policy for Headingley and Weetwood reviewed and strengthened, making it harder for new venues to join the Otley Run and making it more possible to add further

Protecting Silk Mill / Clayton / Spring / Ireland Woods
As you may know, we recently worked with local archaeology experts to organise an Archaeology Walk in Clayton / Silk Mill woods. We were very surprised to discover that there are actually very clear Iron Age walls and building outlines there to be walked over whenever you like. Very cool! As one resident said, "On top of learning about two thousand years of history beneath our feet we enjoyed just being in the lovely woods with good company." A few of us would like to explore
