Improving Briggate for pedestrians
It's not in our ward but we're sure most of you find yourself on Briggate quite regularly! The council received feedback from pedestrians about the difficulties sharing the space with cyclists (especially delivery riders) and peddlers, so some proposals have been drafted - please do respond to the consultation here .

Following that we felt it'd be useful to share a short Otley Run update. We have successfully had the council's 'Cumulative Impact Assessment' policy for Headingley and Weetwood reviewed and strengthened, making it harder for new venues to join the Otley Run and making it more possible to add further

We were very surprised to discover that there are actually very clear Iron Age walls and building outlines there to be walked over whenever you like. Very cool! As one resident said, "On top of learning about two thousand years of history beneath our feet we enjoyed just being in the lovely woods with good company." A few of us would like to explore

Meanwood Lights Switch On this Friday!
Come to Meanwood at 5.30pm (til 7.30) on Friday for the Christmas Lights Switch On! If you go along and see us, do say hi! We go every year, it's always worth it. And as Councillors we've been very happy to help fund it along with the Moortown Councillors. This all happens because of brilliant Meanwood Valley Partnership volunteers, and the support of local businesses like Meanwood Hardware who helped organise the Christmas tree and lights.

We've just had confirmation through of the latest placements we've secured: Tinshill Lane Wynford Avenue Spennithorne Drive We've previously had them on other roads. The way they work is that a speed camera is placed on the road for a temporary period, and then brought bac
