Lawnswood roundabout update

Here's the latest update on the Lawnswood roundabout project.

The final surfacing is now taking place. However, to do this requires full closures over several nights - 7pm to 6am.

The nights are Wednesday the 2nd, Thursday 3rd, and Friday the 4th of September. Finally, there will be a 36hr closure from Saturday night to Monday morning.

As previously advised, traffic marshals will be in situ at the head of each closure area to facilitate residents / businesses to leave / enter the works area through to their property during the closure periods. Those who live in the affected areas should have already received this information.

Depending on where you live, you may only require marshal support one way during the closure, to escort you to drive the wrong way on the carriageway to exit the works area.

Signed diversions will be in place.

During this period, activity within the carriageway will continue during the day, which usually takes place during standard working hours between 9.30am and 3.30pm. During school holidays, these hours may be extended to 8am – 5pm.
