Airport CLEUD decision made
We’ve pasted the full decision made by the Planning Authority below but here’s the summary. Unlimited night flights asked for by the airport have been turned down: the airport previously applied for CLEUDs, these were turned down by the council. The airport appealed this, the Planning Inspectorate agreed with the council but also found that some of the quieter types of aircraft that the council had been treating as contributing to the cap were in fact not allowed under the pl

Thank you - Izaak has been re-elected
We’re going to keep working hard for Weetwood, as a team - Emma, Izaak, and Jools. We are hugely grateful for everyone who voted for Izaak, supporting his campaign for safer roads, pedestrian crossings, better parks and green spaces, and a safer Otley Run. The Liberal Democrats came second, the Greens third, Reform in fourth, Conservatives fifth and SDP sixth. Well done to everyone who put themselves forward, it's not an easy thing to do. Now we keep on delivering. See you so

Opposing unlimited night flights
A few people have emailed us about opposing more night flights and the airport's breach of their conditions, so we thought it would be helpful to outline where we stand. Like you we live in the ward and can hear the planes at night. We care about this issue because of the public health impact and because of the principle that the planning conditions exist for good reason, and must be upheld. We do not support any move towards unlimited night flights at Leeds Bradford Airport.

Otley Run - next steps
In March we shared our 5 point plan for bringing the Otley Run under control, working in collaboration with local residents, police, council teams, and venue representatives. Some people have asked us what's happening with the related Taylor's Sports Bar planning application; so that you're aware it will go before a Planning Committee (we asked that it's decided by councillors rather than directly by officers) unless rejected outright, and the date of that has not yet been de

Road resurfacing update
Over the last few months we've been keeping you updated about road resurfacing, collecting texts and emails to tell us about bad potholes, and getting them reported as well as pushing key roads up the priority list. It's an ongoing job but we've made a lot of progress. We've also made a point of speaking directly to the frontline teams, asking them what they think would help to improve road quality and prevent costs. In February we passed a budget at the council level which i
