Otley Run - next steps

In March we shared our 5 point plan for bringing the Otley Run under control, working in collaboration with local residents, police, council teams, and venue representatives.

Some people have asked us what's happening with the related Taylor's Sports Bar planning application; so that you're aware it will go before a Planning Committee (we asked that it's decided by councillors rather than directly by officers) unless rejected outright, and the date of that has not yet been decided. It should be in May or June. As soon as we know we'll let you know!

In the meantime, we interviewed Otley Runners to ask what they thought about the venues paying for more policing and stewardship.

We want to bring Otley Runners and local young people into this conversation too, and in our experience you can't assume anyone's views. It was a really useful experience. Thank you to those who took the time to chat!
