Latest Lawnswood update

Here’s the latest from the contractors. We meet regularly with them and with local residents, and do weekly street surgeries in the ward including in Lawnswood, to help us stay on top of any issues:

“In the roundabout centre (area 2) we have continued installing the new kerb lines and laying the tegula paving. This splash strip allows for a mowing margin and avoids the build up of detritus in the area. We are also installing the entries to the rain garden area.

• In area 1 (outside Weetwood Hall), the drainage works are continuing.

• In area 9 on the southbound leg of the A660 Otley Rd, where we have started construction of the new bus stop. This includes widening the area for the new layby.

Completion Date:

The current completion date for the works is the first two weeks of September but as you will

appreciate this is subject to change as the works progress. We at EWCE are continually reviewing the programme to ensure successful and timely delivery while adjusting for variables. These may include delayed due to inclement weather or unforeseen services, but likewise an earlier complete date could be achieved through efficiencies and long periods of good weather.
