Traffic calming in St Chads / Becketts neighbourhood

It was really nice supporting the Beckett's Park Residents Association play street on Sunday. We took the chance to bring plans for traffic calming in the neighbourhood and discuss these with some of the attendees.
For residents of the St Chads, Beckett's and St Anne's Road please take a look at the two PDFs linked below and let us know your thoughts using the link underneath these
Please read this important context before commenting:
There are two types of traffic calming shown on the plans:
Orange lines show where a 'thump' could be located. These are smaller and narrow. Option 2 is to have more of these covering more street area.
The grey and green drawings show the larger speed cushions. Option 1 includes these plus a small number of the thumps.
The distribution of these types in each option is based on dividing up the funding for where more impact is needed (e.g. St Chad's Drive) and the appropriateness for the width and shape of the street.
Please see the 'Types of traffic calming' PDF below to see what these options look like.
We already have money committed to deliver one of these two options.
Depending on your feedback, one of the two will go out for formal consultation. Assuming no major objections, Option 1 can be delivered in early 2026. Option 2 can be delivered prior to Christmas although that's weather dependent.
This is the start not the end of improvements; we had great chats with your neighbours about other ideas ranging from pedestrian crossings to 'slow down' signage designed by local kids!
