This meeting follows the truly shocking and tragic attack in Headingley on Saturday afternoon.

Our thoughts are with the two young women who were injured, and with everyone in our community who has been shaken or affected. These are the kinds of events no one ever expects on their doorstep, and we know many people are feeling upset, anxious, or simply trying to make sense of it all.
As your local councillors, we’ve been working closely with senior officers from West Yorkshire Police and Leeds City Council since Saturday. We’ve pushed for increased police visibility across the area over the coming weeks, and we’ve also stressed the importance of accessible mental health support, both for those directly affected and for the wider community.
We’re currently organising a public meeting on Thursday 8th May in the evening, where residents will have the opportunity to hear directly from senior police and council officers, ask questions, and raise concerns. The meeting will be 7.30 - 8.30 at St Michael's Church.
