International award - Homeless Hampers

We want to congratulate Weetwood based charity Homeless Hampers, who have received  the World Record of Excellence award for their amazing work with homeless and vulnerable people across Leeds. 

You may have seen Tina and Aky on Look North, discussing the award and the important and vital work they undertake. They have  received their award for "outstanding humanitarian service and social impact, and for building a remarkable humanitarian movement providing food, essential supplies and compassionate support to homeless and vulnerable individuals" 

They are the first organisation in the UK to receive this award-and we are so proud they are based in Weetwood!
