Thank you so much to all of the 200+ people who signed our petition for a new pedestrian crossing by the beck on Grove Lane.
We're pleased to share that the council's Highways team have said yes!

Just as with our campaign for Otley Old Road's pedestrian crossing, and our campaign to make Monkbridge Road 20mph, the strength of public support was a very strong argument in favour.
We'll share more details as we get them.
Here was our original petition text:
"Do you live near Grove Lane or ever cross there to walk onto Woodhouse Ridge or follow the beck on the Meanwood Valley Trail?
We think it needs a pedestrian crossing there. The council has agreed to look at this properly. We succeeded in getting a new pedestrian crossing on Otley Old Road by showing public support with a petition - this is one of the key factors used by the council to assess a site.
Please sign below to say that you support a new pedestrian crossing on Grove Lane, by the beck and the stables."
