Further Night Flight enforcement

The council Is issuing an enforcement notice against Leeds Bradford Airport, further to its previous enforcement for breach of planning conditions, details below.

For context, Quota Count 1 aircraft are the heavier aircraft and therefore the noisiest aircraft and most complaints of overnight flights relate to this type of aircraft, due to the noise factor:

“I am writing to inform you that an enforcement notice was served on LBA this afternoon in relation to the flying of aircraft with a Quota Count of 1. The enforcement notice requires them to cease all departures of Quota Count 1 aircraft in the night time period (2300 to 0700) within 28 days from the notice taking effect

The notice will take effect on the 17th October, following this ( if there has not been an appeal) and then the airport will have till 14th November to comply.
