We're very pleased that Weetwood resident Alex Sobel has been re-elected as our Labour MP! He now represents the wards of Weetwood, Headingley & Hyde Park, Little London & Woodhouse, and Kirkstall.

Onshore wind ban lifted
Met with Mayors from across the country, re-committing to devolution as a first priority in the first term of this government
Scrapped the expensive Rwanda gimmick
Opened talks with junior doctors to prevent further strikes
Set up a National Wealth Fund to direct public and private wealth at nationally important infrastructure
Committed to tougher penalties for water companies if they don't clean up the waterways
Appointed James Timpson to the Prisons Ministry, signalling a change of policy towards rehabilitation
Announced Job Centres will re-focus on getting people into work, instead of policing benefits
