Camera and new signals at Meanwood Junction

A camera is being installed at Meanwood's Green Road / Stonegate Road junction - also known as the Waitrose junction!

It's going to be enforcing people who make the banned right turn. If you happen to know someone who might turn right there, maybe let them know.

Having lobbied for improvements, the traffic lights are being altered with smarter signalling which will go green when there is no queue at the other light - rather than being on a fixed timer.

This should reduce the time waiting at the lights by between 10 and 20%, but it could be by more especially at non-peak times.

We're also pushing for improvements to and creation of new pedestrian crossings on some nearby roads.
