It's a fantastic local park but anti social behaviour, including fires and damaging trees, is undermining the amazing work of local volunteers.

The local police say it's now vital that people report any behaviour like this.

Reporting may not immediately lead to action, but it's the only thing that can give the police grounds to stop the crime.

How to report

Or ring 101. Or 999 if it's an emergency.

Please take the small amount of time to at least report online if you see anyone damaging a tree / tree guard, setting a fire, or other anti social behaviour.

As one of the volunteers with the Friends of Beckett Park mentioned to us in an email:

"I've been put off reporting in the past as I assumed it would be a bit of a hassle - but actually found it quite straightforward via the WY Police website."

Amazing green spaces like Beckett Park are one of the reasons that we and so many others love living in our ward. This summer we've had a fab party in the park, and there have been some great community litter picking teams out too.

But beautiful places like this don't come for free, we have to work together to protect and improve them.

Thank you so much to all the hard work of the Friends of Beckett Park and the Beckett Park Residents Association.
