Run for All have shared with us a briefing about the marathon and half this year.
As they say, “The Leeds Marathon and Leeds Half Marathon over the past 3 years has seen the city come together
collectively to support a number of truly great causes.
Opening the doors to mass participation, the marathon demonstrates the power of friendship and what is
possible when running with friends.
The city has come out in force for the past 3 years lining the course with local schools, bands and
community groups coming out to show their support on a day we continue to remember each year.”
On road closures:
From the end of April, affected residents will receive hand delivered postcards advising them of the event and direct them to RFA website for details. RFA will also distribute specific road closure information for
each key area on route to advise of access/egress routes and crossing points.
These crossing points are
available online using the link below.
Their traffic management company will also install advanced warning signage 2.5 weeks out from the event at key areas around the route to inform road users and residents of the closures.
Road closure information will include an interactive road map, road closure poster, crossing point document, access area arrangements per section of the route and diversion information for Leeds Bradford Airport which can all be viewed on the link below.
