Weetwood Lane road closure in March

Yorkshire Water have taken responsibility for fixing the leak on Weetwood Lane after weeks of very tenacious residents taking them to ask, thank you!

Unfortunately it does mean a very inconvenient road closure.

We are chasing for more details but wanted to give a heads up:

“I am writing to inform you that Yorkshire Water will be carrying out urgent repairs to a water leak on Weetwood Lane, between Weetwood Crescent and Weetwood Mill Lane.

To undertake the works safely, a full closure of Weetwood Lane at this location will be in place from Monday, 2nd March 2026. The works are expected to last approximately one week.

A signed diversion route will be in place via Otley Road and Ring Road Weetwood.

Essential access to properties, as well as emergency access, will be maintained at all times.

Utility and Council Communications Teams are requested to distribute this information through their own communication channels.
