We've heard from the Coram Beanstalk charity who are recruiting volunteer Reading Helpers for primary schools in the Leeds area.
Having volunteers from the local community makes a huge difference to children’s confidence and progress with reading.
About the volunteer role
Support primary-aged children with their reading
Commit around one afternoon per week during term time
Receive full training, DBS checks, and ongoing support from Coram Beanstalk
Volunteers don’t need teaching experience, just time, patience, and a love of reading.
