What was Catch/Bryan's, now soon to be Soho Indian Bar and Grill all being well. They are planning a 'face lift' for the venue, so we assume there may be a bit of a wait before it can open.

Thank you to all residents who answered our call to comment.

We attended the Licensing hearing today along with a local resident and wanted to share our notes about the result.

Here are the most important agreed conditions, but there are more details that we can share when the full decision is published.

It's worth knowing that the business owners are happy that they can run a thriving business here with these conditions:

  • No Otley Runners or groups in fancy dress to be admitted with clear signage to indicate, and no promotion of the Otley Run

  • The sale/supply of alcohol shall only be made to accompany the sale of food. This does not preclude the sale/supply of alcohol to a person waiting to be seated in the venue or at the conclusion of the meal

  • Premises must be food-led

  • Table-service at all times

  • No deliveries of alcohol (e.g. via Deliveroo)

  • No off sales of alcohol except to those who are finishing their wine from a meal, this must be capped

  • Opening hours of 9am - 11pm but with alcohol only to be served from 11am which is in line with local premises

  • Notices indicating the existence and effect of a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) shall be prominently displayed at the exits to the licensed premises site

  • Noise from a licensable activity at the premises will not be audible at the nearest noise sensitive premises after 10pm

  • There shall be no external music

  • Outside area not to be used past 10pm

  • Bottles will not be placed in any external receptacle between 11 pm and 7 am the following day to minimise noise disturbance to neighbouring properties

  • They will ensure that litter arising from people using the premises is cleared away regularly and that promotional materials such as flyers do not create litter

Other conditions in relation to staff training, CCTV, and environmental health measures.
